Week 7: Rough Seas

A recap from last week:

Week 6: lost 4 lbs
Total Loss: 16.8 lbs

Okay, so as I write this, my husband and I are watching an episode of Black Sails, hence the naval term. But really, I had a rough day at work on Friday. I had a good cry in the car and cleaned the kitchen when I got home while the boys played. With the sounds of them all laughing and the mystic abilities of cleaning’s power for the soul, I had felt much better by dinner time. But with  the shear mental exhaustion of the stress, I picked up a bottle of wine and poured myself a large, heaping glass. And then I had another. And then, another. Yes… 3 glasses of more than 6oz of wine each. Ugh. I had not planned for that in my macros so I was way over my carbs for the day. I didn’t sleep well and then I was 2 pounds heavier when I woke up. Man!

So Saturday morning after getting that terrible 2 lb news, I decided that I couldn’t take it back and just had to move on and make better choices today! For some completely awesome luck, my husband didn’t have to work so I went for a quick trip to Target (they boys didn’t want to come so it was my first time in a VERY long time going by myself!). What was a “quick” trip turned into 4 hours, hahahaha. Oops, I shouldn’t laugh, I did feel kind of bad for being gone that long. I went to one that is not close because the one in our town in small and hardly has anything. But it was sooooo worth it because this trip was GLORIOUS!! I got a coffee with HWC (heavy whipping cream) and started to peruse the aisles.

Then I got to the clothing section. I saw so many cute things I liked, so I decided to grab a few to try on. Now, usually I avert my eyes from the regularly-sized section and try to head straight for the Plus area. Today though, I thought, well, I’m just going to see what happens. I took a couple of XXL and XL things to the dressing room, and do you know what happened??!

I got them ALL on!! All of the XXLs fit and the XLs even would do (though not as comfortably for me- I still don’t like to wear tight things).

Everything went back on the shelf, because I’m really trying not to get any clothes until I cannot wear what I have anymore. But I will tell you, I felt like I was flying high for the rest of the trip!

Just a couple of other quick pics:

If only this would have been offered in an adult size, I would have gotten it! And one for all of my Keto friends!

I had to stop to get gas (I was so low I thought I wasn’t going to make it!) and I spied myself in the back window reflection as I was filling up. I don’t usually wear hats, except for a sun hat. Actually, I’m not sure that I’ve ever worn a baseball cap out in public! So when I caught my reflection, I didn’t even recognize myself, haha! I thought, “Woah, when did that cop walk up?!”  It was just me. Even worse though, I thought it was a male cop!! hahahahaha

Recipe Of The Week:

Sour Cream Baked Salmon

Holy cow, I have been eating some REALLY good food, and this week was no different! My favorite recipe this week was from Inspried Taste. Their Sour Cream Baked Salmon was so good. I was hesitant of the thought of putting sour cream on salmon, but man am I glad that I tried it! We did some green beans sautéed in bacon grease to go along with it. What a meal!

Get the recipe here: Inspired Taste- Sour Cream Baked Salmon

I’m exited to try some other things on their website because many of them look Keto approved or easily modified to fit.

Anyway, check out my video to see how I did this week!!

Peace, Love, and Keto On!
